Nike Ja 4 Jaws

The Nike Ja 4 “Jaws” brings a new predator to the court. Inspired by the legendary 1975 shark movie, the colourway transforms Ja Morant’s fourth signature shoe with an ocean-themed design built around speed, unpredictability and intimidation. While it isn’t an official collaboration with the film, the connection is instantly recognisable. The upper begins in a light, water-like blue around the toe before gradually shifting into deeper shades towards the ankle. Dark navy details cover the oversized JA branding and support structure, while touches of University Red, Glacier Blue and Cobalt Bliss complete the aquatic colour palette. The clearest reference appears on the tongue, where a shark-mouth graphic gives the shoe its identity. Jagged, tooth-like details also appear across the vamp and inside the “A” of the lateral JA monogram, working naturally with the aggressive design language of the Ja 4. Underneath the theme is a performance shoe created for Ja’s explosive and unpredictable game. A lightweight TPU JA-Frame wraps around the foot for added containment during sharp cuts, while responsive Cushlon 3.0 cushioning and a supercritical foam SPRPWR sockliner provide comfort, energy and bounce. A precise traction pattern supports quick changes of direction, hard stops and sudden take-offs—helping players stay locked in and ready to strike without warning. Set to release in adult and grade-school sizing, the Nike Ja 4 “Jaws” combines one of the year’s most recognisable themes with serious on-court performance. Out of all the Ja 4 colourways revealed so far, we think the “Jaws” might be the best one yet.
